MicroFAST come in seven sizes and capacities to replace any size septic tank. They're proven to handle extreme temperature changes and all levels of usage. In-ground MicroFAST come in either concrete or fiberglass containment tanks. Above-ground MicroFAST come available in concrete, fiberglass or steel tanks. (For Above Ground Septic Systems, see MicroFAST® Septic System Options below on this page)
MicroFAST are complete, self-contained sewage wastewater treatment systems for all sizes of family homes and vacation property. MicroFAST® Residential Septic Systems biologically consume all organic contaminants in wastewater and release just clear, odorless, water.
MicroFAST® are ideal septic systems for homes on landscaped property or near natural bodies of water. They can also be used in the most fragile ecosystems. Environmentally protective, officially approved MicroFAST replace the standard septic tank, reducing drainfield requirements and allowing wastewater reusage.
+ 8000 in use. MicroFAST® Septic Systems for homes, groups of homes and vacation dwellings.
Dependable, Affordable MicroFAST® MicroFAST® contain no submersible pumps, sewage filters or moving parts to repair or replace. All internal parts are made from durable, long lasting plastic, not subject to deterioration. All tanks and biofilters come with full ten year warrantees. A two year complete inspection of each MicroFAST® System is included free.
MicroFAST® comes in seven sizes and capacities to provide the most cost efficient sewage treatment for each individual application. The size of the home and number of bedrooms determines the recommended model size. The larger MicroFAST® model sizes are recommended for clusters of residences, trailer parks and subdivisions. The smallest MicroFAST® models are typically recommended for the average size home or vacation property.
MicroFAST® The system's only moving part, the quiet aerating blower is located above ground, in an unobtrusive pump housing that can be placed up to 100 feet away. It needs no oil or lubrication and the reusable air intake filter is easily cleaned off twice a year. (Click photo to enlarge).
To activate the continuous circulation of wastewater through the flowpath, the above ground air-lift [3] introduces air into the MicroFAST® System. ↓
[1] Sewage wastewater from household drains flow into MicroFAST® [2] Natural separation and settling occur as effluent enters the bio-reactor. [4]In the bio-reactor, the MicroFAST Honeycomb Media (below) and fresh air provide an ideal environment for a beneficial colony of aerobic (oxygen requiring) micro-organisms to thrive. This colony is referred to as a fixed biomass. The fixed biomass actively consumes all biological waste. [5] Clear and odorless, neutralized water exits MicroFAST ready for standard or innovative dispersal.
The MicroFAST Honeycomb Media provides the high surface to volume ratio to maintain exceptional biomass growth during peak, average and low usage. All organic contaminants like proteins, carbohydrates, lipids, viruses and other toxic micro-organisms are completely consumed by the fixed biomass. The biomass remains "fixed" and "activated" within the aeration zone to consume all new incoming waste, venting only simple carbon dioxide and air.
MicroFAST® are designed for use in all configurations of residential homes, recreational dwellings and clustered housing developments. The larger MicroFAST® Septic Systems are also recommended for upgrading struggling municipal sewage treatment plants, providing affordable options versus centralized sewer systems.
MicroFAST Septic Systems have been tested, approved and certified by the Canadian Standards Association (CSA), Canadian Great Lakes (CGL), the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA), the US Coast Guard, US Electrical Systems, Underwriters Laboratories (UL), European Union (CE), European Electrical Systems (including EES Tropical Certification), the National Sanitation Foundation, the U.K. Department Of Trade, the International Maritime Organization (IMO), the Australian Department Of Transportation, the Royal Australian Navy and SASSO (Saudi Arabia).
Nitrogen Reduction Nitrification and denitrification projects become simple using MicroFAST® treatment technology. The multiple biological, bio-chemical, chemical and physical processes that occur simultaneously in MicroFAST® have been proven to consistently reduce nitrogen levels, including nitrates and all nitrogen species.

®Septic System Options
Above-Ground Septic Systems For property with dense clay, heavy rock, bog or swamp where in-ground installation is not practical, we can provide any model of MicroFAST® in an above-ground configuration. Above-ground MicroFAST® come in concrete, fiberglass or steel tanks. Seen here is a MicroFAST 0.75 in a 2 chamber fiberglass tank with UV Light System.
Phosphate Reduction Units Certain jurisdictions require that phosphate output be reduced to 1 mg/ Liter. We can provide an attachment to your MicroFAST® for this application. There are no chemicals to mix. Clean out and removal is necessary only every 15 years. Discharge Pump Chambers If treated wastewater is required to be discharged to a dispersal site under pressure, a pump chamber and pump are available.
Ultraviolet Light Systems Ultraviolet systems include automatic self-monitoring systems to notify you if the UV lamp needs cleaning or replacement. With UV, the fecal coliform count can be reduced to less than 200 CFU/100ml. With a pre-filter on the UV unit, the fecal coliform count can be reduced to less than 2 CFU/100ml. Under local regulations, the neutralized water may be re-used and recycled for many non-drinking applications such as spray or drip irrigation, flushing toilets and urinals. Contact Us
